As you can see, clearly, I created  this magnificent piece of art work (wink, wink) back in 2006 during an art group planned as part of staff development (when I was still working)!  The goal of this group was to create something that represents-

This was what I came up with!

I left my Director’s job of nearly 6 years in 2007.  Looking back at this board from time to time since October 2007  has been a great “eye-opener” because I had no idea what I was going to do when I left my job.  I just knew that it was time for me to end that chapter of my life.   I did  have thoughts of living in Thailand in the back of my mind.

According to the passion board,  Travel, Adventure, Family, Justice, Energy. Strength are the central themes in my life.  This tiny board with few words really says a lot about  my passion in life.  To me, denying these things and living without them would be like existing without Oxygen: leaving me lifeless, maybe even hopeless.

So here’s the thing-  you too can create one of these in the comfort of your very own home.

And with this post, we invite you to DISCOVER and UNLEASH  your PASSION through ART and CREATIVITY

It is  our hope that you participate and give yourself a chance to express your passion.

Let it teach you, lead you and direct you to new possibilities.

Invitation and instructions for the Round up:

  • We invite EVERYONE to participate.
  • Once Passion Board is created
    • take a picture
    • write a post about it on your blog
  • Tweet/Share your post.

    • Please include #passionboard and mention @GotPassport in your tweet
    • Encourage others to participate
    • Tag and Invite 5 (FIVE)  additional friends to join the Round up!
  • If you are NOT on Twitter, not a blogger,  email us at GotPassport [at} Gmail [dot] com
    • send us a picture of your passion board
    • include a sentence or two about the passion board

Hint: This is an excellent (can even be therapeutic) activity for individuals,  couples  and/or  families!

Here’s a list of what you need:

  • Construction Paper
  • Few magazines
  • Paint
  • Crayons
  • Pen and pencils
  • Stickers
  • Markers
  • Glue Stick
  • Background music
  • Glass of wine
  • Cocktail of your choice
  • Chocolate, fudge, cookies
  • Anything else you find helpful to your creativity!

Suggested Reading: “ Just Who Will You Be?”  By Maria Shriver and/or “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch (Tiny books with powerful messages for additional inspiration!)

(Another Hint: Grab some old magazines from your doc or dentist’s office – surely they won’t mind! And Ask,  NO stealing!)

Now  just let your creative juices flow like a river!

**I created mine with some  time constraints and limited items.   There are no limits for you.  Go for it!

Just stopping in from PNP. I love this idea! I make something similar, only I do it on the computer. It gives me a lot more options with pictures and graphics. I guess you could say, it’s a paperless passion board. Aren’t I so green?
